Five days will be taken from the summer holiday in July 2027. The school year will still have 195 days, including 5 INSET days. Other schools set their own dates but are encouraged to follow these. Autumn term 2027 | Start of term | Half term | End of term | 1 September 2027 | 25 October to 29 October 2027 | 21 December 2027 Spring term 2028 | Start of term | Half term | End of term | 4 January 2028 | 14 February to 18 February 2028 | 31 March 2028 Summer term 2028 | Start of term | Half term | End of term | 18 April 2028 | 29 May to 2 June 2028 | 19 July 2028 Inset days: There are five Inset (Teacher Training) Days that are taken during the 2027 to 2028 academic year which are set locally by schools and are taken from the 195 days given here. Academic year 2028 to 2029 Future dates for the 2028 to 2029 academic year will be published before 10 May 2027.
